Time for Week Two of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! This week’s tea blend is one of the most popular and perfect for desert tea lovers! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!
MY REVIEW OF IT: “The smell of this tea in the bag reminds me strongly of Pfeffernusse, those German Pepper cookies you get at Christmas. Mostly spice, but coated with chocolate on the bottom. Sweet, wonderful nostalgia. I could cry. And oh my god it even tastes like that brewed up. I’m sort of amazed right now. I was trying to blend a tea that would be reminiscent of a piece of chocolate cake but I’m so happy with what I got. The tea is a little bit bitter on it’s own, but again, it reminds me of spice cookies. The chocolate taste is really nice and mellow, but the spices aren’t too strong either. It all just works really well together. I actually like it just fine on it’s own, but adding a little cream and sugar makes this tea feel decadent. Definitely a Mycroft tea.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
- “A very smooth and sweet taste which makes it a good tea to have in the evening with dessert. Smells amazing and goes well with a little milk and sugar.”-Holly C.
- “This tea really does taste like I’m drinking a cake, whether or not sweetener is added. It’s a wonderful chai blend.”-Yulia S.
- ” This is…MOTHER OF GOD. Once you go Mycroft, you cannot go back apparently. I literally drink four cups a night while working on my thesis. Just….fabulous. It’s perfectly toasty and lightly sweet and best done with just a splash of cream.”-Beth P.
- “This blend smells, tastes and feels decadent and amazing. The mix of chocolate and vanilla chai makes it a lovely dessert tea. A perfect representation of Mycroft Holmes as a character.”-Arizona D.
- “This blend smells amazing. I seriously wanted to stick my whole face in the bag. It has a light vanilla/chai flavor that goes very well with a bit of cream.“-Nikki N.HOW TO WIN:

It doesn’t take long for Charles to notice the guy who always smokes outside of the restaurant that Charles works at. Motorcycle guy (aptly named, because Charles has seen him roll by the restaurant more than once on the deafening contraption) always takes a moment to grin at Charles, apparently amused that Charles is waiting for his sister to come by with their shared car to pick him up.
One day, Charles is going to muster up the courage to return that smirk with something like his middle finger or a snappish, witty comment.
One day he’ll probably be able to make more than three seconds of eye contact, as well, he supposes.
Erik has noticed that at the corner restaurant, works a young man who wears a pretty face and an impossibly red smile. The first time was a coincidence. Erik had taken a different route home from work due to traffic and had spotted a handsome white and black clad figure in his periphery vision and slowed slightly to grin at the man. The second night, he purposely passed by the same corner. This time, Erik smirks with slight self-deprecation as the blue eyed man, apparently a waiter, walks out of the restaurant and into the car driven by a blonde adolescent. On the third night, Erik thinks to himself that he’s only on this route again, because there’s less traffic. His mouth forms a smile on its own as Erik locks eyes briefly with the man who goes home with his girlfriend.
Erik starts to frequent the bar near the corner restaurant right after work. He often steps out to smoke, and only to smoke, he reassures himself. That the stranger with cornflower eyes works across the street is merely a coincidence, as is the fact that Erik goes home right before the blonde girl arrives.
Erik still can’t stop the small smirk on his face as he catches the other man’s gaze. Perhaps they are both lucky that one of them has a girlfriend. Erik isn’t so sure he would be able to stop himself from public displays of physical intimacy otherwise, which is not a brilliant idea because they’re both male and society is not so forgiving towards homosexuality.
After a week of the subtle Erik smiling, and mutual eyeing, Erik drives by the corner restaurant, his face is frozen in a grimace from a difficult workday, only to melt as Charles smiles shyly back. His smile is breathtaking, and Erik slows to a stop at the curb.
Charles had only smiled because it looked as if the other man needed a smile after a bad day. His heart thudded as his lips turned upwards at the edges, not expecting more than the routine few seconds of eye contact.
Instead, Motorcycle guy pulls up to the curb.
“Need a ride?” Motorcycle guy asks.
Charles has the perfect opportunity to make his comeback now. If only he could get his heart to cease its attempt to spill out of his throat.
What ends up coming out of his mouth is an unintelligible croak, reminiscent of his friend’s best frog impersonation. Of course, it doesn’t shatter glass windows as his friend’s voice does, but Charles is mortified all the same.
Motorcycle man chuckled, a deep sound that seemed to reverberate down Charles’s spinal chord. A distant, very distant, part of Charles’s mind curses at the blush no doubt rising on his fair skin.
He makes a second attempt at replying.
“Why did,” Charles already knew why Motorcycle Man usually stayed away, “today-,” Motorcycle Man’s thoughts were full of annoyance at his secretary.
The words come out jumbled and Charles laments that he can’t simply shut off his telepathy or shove his thoughts at the other man’s mind without exposing his gift. He knows that the other man thinks Raven is his girlfriend. Charles can’t stop from overhearing little snippets of thoughts when he’s interested in a person. Charles also hears Motorcycle Man’s loud expletive-filled thoughts of the day without trying. Strangely, it’s the simple things that Charles does not yet know.
“What’s your name?” Charles’s mouth finally decides to function properly again. “I’m not about to give my address to a stranger.”
Charles decides to overlook his wariness of the loud metal deathtrap Erik rides.
A slight breeze wafts the faint scent of smoke and musk at Charles as Motorcycle Man sticks out his hand.
“Erik. Nice to meet you.”
